During the use of PE stretch film, static electricity may sometimes occur. In fact, what you need to know is that saying the static phenomenon is not serious or good can be misleading; sometimes saying it is serious can be dangerous. Therefore, we strive to prevent this phenomenon from occurring. This is all for better prevention, and we will briefly introduce the reasons for static electricity generation so that you can pay attention to it in future uses.
When PE stretch film leaves the factory, static electricity is generated due to collisions between particles, collisions between melt heads, and collisions during film formation, winding, and with guide rollers. Therefore, it is also recommended to add antistatic agents during the production process to eliminate this part of static electricity. It should be said that this effect is quite good. Antistatic agents are surfactants containing polar hydrophilic groups and non-polar lipophilic groups. Another important point is that the lipophilic groups have a certain compatibility with plastics. The hydrophilic groups can ionize or adsorb water from the air, forming a very thin conductive layer on the surface to avoid leakage of charges and eliminate static electricity during printing, recombination, cutting, and bag-making processes. The thermal issues are mainly due to collisions between the PE stretch film and guide rollers, as well as collisions between high-speed moving films and dry air. It has static electricity. Therefore, you need to understand that this part of static electricity has a significant impact on production. If static electricity cannot be effectively eliminated, it will also greatly affect the post-processing process. Generally speaking, using a superconducting static brush (touch-type elimination) with PE stretch film is more useful. When heat exists in the form of contact with the film, the static electricity generated by a brush with very low resistance (less than 1 ohm for 1 meter width) can solve this problem.
Ion generators can also be used to blow generated ions onto the film through air (non-contact). However, in practice, when ionizing gas eliminates static electricity, it is found that working together can also cause some air to flow back. The product we are discussing today may conflict with the guide rollers of the equipment. The PE stretch film itself cannot completely eliminate static electricity. The formation of active packaging is difficult, and the contents need to be sensitive to static electricity. At this time, the above methods can also be used to eliminate static electricity. Another useful method is to use a superconducting static brush to eliminate them. Therefore, it is very natural for static electricity to appear in different parts during use. The reasons vary, and so do the treatment methods. Then, based on different situations, we must make decisions according to our own actual conditions when addressing this issue.
The above discusses the reasons for static electricity generation in PE stretch film. As long as you pay attention to its correct usage during daily use, you can maximize its effectiveness. It is essential to pay attention to proper usage during operation to avoid unnecessary troubles.
